More Than 100 Years of Ministry to Louisiana's Children and Families!

Founded in 1902, Louisiana Methodist Children's Home has cared for thousands of Louisiana's children and families.  We work to build families by focusing on family preservation to help children remain at home. We provide residential treatment services for children with severe emotional and behavioral needs who are unable to live at home with community-based supports. We focus on family reunification to restore children to families with healthy relationships.

Our work is family-focused.  Our clients are families and children of Louisiana from all races, religions, and economic backgrounds.  We provide a continuum of in-home, out-patient and intensive residential services for children and families experiencing crisis, emotional stress and relationship problems.  Learn how you can help support our ministry to Louisiana's vulnerable children and families.

Construction in Sulphur The first buildings of the Methodist Children's Home of Southwest Louisiana are nearing completion.  This new campus is located just north of Sulphur, Louisiana.  These new facilities are designed to house up to 32 children and will provide offices for clinical, nursing, residential and administrative staff.  In addition, the campus will serve as a center for family work in Southwest Louisiana.  This new location will allow Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services to minister to even more children and families ... and do it much closer to their own homes.

We're Close to You Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services provides services to families across Louisiana.  With four campuses and five counseling centers across the state for family counseling and in-home services, we care for children and families close to home.
