United Methodist NOMADS (Nomads on a Mission Active in Divine Service)

From January 11 – February 17, the OWL Center had the pleasure of hosting Bill and Virginia Lee, NOMADS from Minnesota. This is the second year that they have spent time working at the OWL, and as before, they accomplished a tremendous amount. They completed the long list of projects we had for them, including: framing and installing double doors at the barn, building and wiring a new bike room, repairing fence, replacing signs on the Arbor walk, building trail obstacles for the arena, and organizing the tool shed (a task that would have taken most people the whole month!) Bill and Virginia also made several batches of salsa and jelly, and are responsible for the beautiful Methodist Crosses that now adorn various OWL buildings. We are very appreciative of the time and energy that they put into the OWL, and hope to see them in 2011.
