Facilities of Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services
It began 110 years ago with Louisiana Methodists who had a heart for orphans. Their desire to care for children was nurtured into action in 1902 with the creation of Louisiana Methodist Orphanage. From a small, wood frame, home in Bunkie, Louisiana, we have grown into a ministry with four residential programs providing care for 156 adolescents, six community counseling centers across Louisiana, two multisystemic therapy programs, and an outdoor wilderness learning center.
Louisiana Methodist Children's Home, in Ruston, is also home to the administrative offices of the agency and is the third largest non-governmental employer in Lincoln Parish.
