Our Mission

Guiding Children and Families Home to Experience God's Love by Following the Teaching of Christ.

Our Vision

Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services, Inc. seeks to minister to the diverse needs of children and families by offering a variety of services that promote personal growth and wholesome family life. Our care is patterned after the example of Jesus who ministered to the total person so that each individual might experience the wholeness that comes through the reconciling love of God.

Our Values

Jesus Christ is Our Guide and Example.

Jesus Christ practiced unconditional love to all. We seek to follow His example.

We Exist to Serve.

As a Church founded, non-profit organization, we elevate services above self-interest. We help children and families in need with no expectation of significant financial return.

We believe one of the most important ways of helping a child learn is to model positive behaviors ourselves. We live our lives always remembering to practice what we profess.

We value each person as one who is created in the image of God. We work to help individuals value themselves. We actively respect each client's sacred right to experience grace and peace.

Children belong with their families when it is possible. We strive to build and support families for reunification. We teach children the importance of families, relationships and positive role modeling to help them succeed in developing their own families.

We value youth and families we serve as uniquely created individuals designed for a specific purpose in life. Our role is to empower each with the tools they need to overcome barriers to achieve that purpose.
